{Happy Birthday Gracie!}

My baby is one!
Wow, how fast this year has gone.
Here's some pics of her party yesterday.

(as you can see, I had fun using my Cricut to make the cute pink and green party decor!)
She loved her pinata from her Auntie Jessica & Uncle John!

And just because you never have another First Birthday, she had to have her very own M&M's!

She knew she wanted (ok, I knew she wanted) a cupcake party from the time she was 2 months old, so I've been collecting anything and everything cupcake for quite some time, and even I found the perfect dress, it had a cupcake with a 1 on it!

This was the invitation that I made. I just took our address and phone # off to post it here : )
We had such a great time, it was the perfect day!

{Happy Birthday Honey!}

Clayton is turning the Big 4-0 today and I wanted to do something special to celebrate, so tonight I'm taking him to see Celtic Thunder (one of our favorite groups) at the Nokia Theatre. He doesn't know we're going, and I can't wait 'till dinner to give him his Birthday card with the tickets in it! He is going to be so surprised! Here's one of my favorite songs to watch them sing. I love that the kilt wearing band gets into it too.

{Friday}

I received an email yesterday from our local mall.
Santa arrives next weekend.
Seriously??
I think next year I will have him help us carve our Halloween Pumpkins.

And, just because it's not a real blog post without a picture, here's a pretty idea to try before Fall turns to Winter. Quick and easty to do with candles, a few nuts and some greenery from the garden. Ours will be on the highest table in the house though since a sweet little baby took her first steps this week : )

Happy Halloween!

Here's a few pics of our pumpkin carving last night.
With a litte bit of help from Daddy,

this turned into
this
his very own R2-D2 pumpkin. Needless to say he loved it. And here's a few pics of little missy wearing her cute Halloween outfit from our freind Merle.
Tucker is ready and waiting in his costume, and the rest of us are waiting for Gracie to wake up from her nap so she can be the cutest bumble bee ever on her very first Halloween.
Enjoy your evening!

{Tuesday}

Don't you just love the weather today?? (well, if you're in So. CA that is) It looks like we finally might have some cool weather. Perfect for lighting the fireplace tonight. Yes, we might have to open a window because it's not that cool, but we will take what we can get :)

I finished this layout today that I probably started over a month ago. I'm almost happy with have my scrapbook room organized now, so hopefully I'll be cranking out the layouts.

And just because I thought these were cool,I had to share these fun little cupcake carriers for cupcakes on the go.

{I'm Back!} long update

I'm back! Well, not that I went anywhere, but it has been 2 weeks since I've updated this crazy blog. Time is flying by, and as we get into the holiday season, I know it will go even faster. Thanks for the emails checking up on me though...we're ok, just busy!! Actually, the littles are both sick, so I'm sure within in the next week I will have their cold too. This is the first time Gracie has been sick,(yep, almost made it a whole year illness free!) so of course I'm like a first time Mom worrying every time she coughs or sneezes :)

Ok, so here's what's been going on...
We LOVED Star Wars in concert! Even me that is so not a Star Wars fan loved it. We had wonderful seats, and were right up close to the orchestra as they played the music, while we watched different parts of all 6 movies. There were also costumes, props and the all important light sabers on display too. I have seen all movies over the years, starting with the first one as a kid in the 70's, but have never really been "into" them, but by the time it was over, I was standing and cheering along with the rest of the crowd!. For Tucker, that lives and breaths Star Wars, it was "his most favorite thing ever" according to him.I've been scrapbooking a little, but mostly been trying to organize and go through all my scrapbooking supplies. Working at a scrapbook store for 6 years you accumulate so much, and at some point you need to get rid of some of it. By the way, last Friday was 1 year since I worked at Strictly. Yep, time is going fast!

I went to the Flea Market this past weekend. It's one of my favorite things to do, and since there are so many booths that have vintage Star Wars things, it is one of Tucker's favorite things too. One lady asked how I convinced my son to come with me that day. Before I could answer, Tucker told her "oh it was my idea, I had to convince my mom to come today". LOL His big find of the day, an excellent condition, Star Wars encyclopedia that sold for $49.99 that he paid $7.00 for.
My big find of the day, this sterling silver teapot with the tag still attached, that I bought for $1.00! This is going to be beautiful after I shine this baby up!
I also bought some sweet vintage Hobnail Milk Glass bowls. I plan on using these pieces in my scrapbook room. So cute!We bought Gracie a little doll stroller/walker. She is so crazy spazzy walking with it, but is so darn cute. She walks her baby all over the house. Over and over again.

The house is finally finished being painted. It is so darn stressful trying to choose a color, especially since you're stuck with it for 10-15 years. I love how the color looks though, it's such a pretty shade of green with beautiful white trim. I still need to take a few pictures to share.

Sorry this was so long, I need to blog more often!!
